I was given the challenge of doing a before and after segment for Channel 6 news in San Diego and boy was it a challenge! They wanted me to feng shui their green room, the waiting room for guests and as you can see the catch all location for staff.

I was up for it and to put an extra spin on it and asked them to give me a design intention; meaning if they were an actual client asking for feng shui advise, what desired outcome from adjusting the feng shui would they like? They chose having me design it with the intention of getting a new job. So here is the after:

This was all done with about 3 hours prep time, 1 hour installation time and cost less than $400. The design intentions were to clear the clutter (to get new ch’i in) and to balance the room (earth tones for earth, splashes of red and burgundy and more lighting for fire, wood, water and metal in small touches throughout – screen, mirror – not shown, and metal accents). The picture on the wall represents “journey” the career intention for the space. Also the furniture arrangement is placed on an angle to represent a more “open arms” figuration for new opportunity.
